Good hearty cuisine, delicious home-made beer

Typical rheinish food. Now in lockdown times they have a takeaway menu. Very very good. It's easy to support these businesses during lockdown: they are excellent. They don't have their traditional beer bottled, but while you wait you can enjoy a glass of their Gulash Alt.

We went to eat there for the first time today and we noticed a lot of positive things: The staff is incredibly nice, friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty and the portion size was very generous (Jäger Schnitzel) - all the other dishes that we saw at other tables also looked very good. I like the location too. We will definitely be back soon :)

Great food, great eatery and ambience. For Düsseldorf and these portions with high quality, the prices are justified. If you want to eat well, this is the place for you.

We were in this restaurant for the first time today and were very pleasantly surprised. We had reserved for 40 people. Because of the Corona regulation, we had been given a small hall. The drinks were at the table shortly and the food, which was very good, was served for all 40 people within 10 minutes from the start of serving. A very friendly and industrious staff rounded off the positive overall picture.

Front and rear terrace. In nice weather or rain, I can only recommend the restaurant. Nice staff, serve you very quickly. Children friendly.

Tonhalle Kaiserswerth again there is something nice to report. It is a very cozy restaurant in Kaiserswerth .: The Tonhalle a location with a wonderful flair. the interior immediately invites you to have a little rest there. well, i met up with friends there as this had a bavarian week as the motto locally. we were all very pleased with the cuisine on offer. So we chose our dishes and were very enthusiastic about the quality, the taste and the quantity. Also the excellent service should be mentioned, very nice and friendly, just as quick and attentive. Everything in all was a very successful evening. Everyone was very happy satisfied.you can reach this locality very well by public transport, but also by car. from düsseldorf from approx. 25 min. it is worth a look there. in summer you can also dine on the terrace there is the opportunity to hold celebrations in the cellar vault. since kaiserswerth is a much-visited part of the city, you can also plan a short rest in the tonhalle after a walk on the rhine and then there t enjoy a coffee and cake or take a little digestive walk through the old town afterwards, this is also worthwhile, as there are very nice old town houses to see.

Our total was 46 euro on the bill - the waiter directly asked me for 51 - I handed him 52 and he didn't offer to make change. Not very typical of German restaurants. The menu didn't say gratuities would be added but not written on the bill so I hope the man didn't scam us. Otherwise the food was good and the location convenient. Our waiter (the shorter thinnish guy with super short hair) was polite to my partner but kept shouting 'DOGGY BAG? DOGGY BAG!' at my mother after she tentatively asked for a box for her leftovers i.e. almost her entire untouched dish.

We are always in Kaiserswerth to visit friends, like to come here and are always very satisfied with the service and the food. This time Schnitzel Viennese style, goulash and salad. Everything fresh again, very, very delicious and huge portions. The staff is very friendly, fling and tried hard this time to make room for us to allow us a longer stay as we had not booked this time. Always my pleasure! Thanks a lot!

I used to love coming to this restaurant.. I came here for 3 years and I have never had an issue. Tonight I came here for Christmas drinks and ordered a Gin and tonic. A gin is 4€ and you pay extra for tonic so it comes to 7.50€ for a gin and tonic. I was having a bottle of tonic between 2 gins so my order should have been less. Instead they decided they would charge me 8€ per gin shot because they claimed they were giving me double.. firstly I did not ask for a double, secondly my shots definitely looked like a single shot in the glass with ice. How can they charge me for a double when I asked for a single. The owner told me no one had ever complained about being charged for a double and basically chased me away. Please be careful about ordering spirits at this place, it's a rip off!

I'm no expert on German restaurants. In comparison with good pub restaurants in Britain it stands up well. The menu was good but not huge. Thus the food is excellent. It was cooked well with good service, and cracking beer. Thoroughly recommended.

Cozy place with a selection of traditional dishes. Our food was ok and came pretty fast. The Wiener schnitzel was delicious, but the gypsy Schnitzel was a bit dry. As a Munich we were a bit shocked by the beer prices. They were relatively high for us then. The staff was very nice and friendly.

Absolutely great! On a sunny afternoon, with an excellent meal, we made ourselves comfortable in the well-kept, beautiful outside area in the backyard. The menu corresponded to a middle-class kitchen. Enough choice & a highlight for my husband the giant schnitzel, which was really well prepared. We were happy to respond to the customer's wishes. We were able to swap the side dishes. The Cambert, with the delicious bread and fried potatoes, was exactly to my taste! Really delicious thereme The service was quick and very friendly. Really recommend. We will definitely get lost there again

Worktrip from Italy, in occasion of the Boot Dusseldorf, me and my colleagues found this restaurant the best we tried by far! All courses were excellent, and the staff very very nice and kind. Next year we will be back for sure! Thank you!

Here are two good reasons to visit Tonhalle Restaurant in Kaiserswerth, Düsseldorf. First one is where they are located; situated close to the Klemensplatz U-bahn, you can walk around the beautiful streets of one of Düsseldorf's best towns, Kaiserswerth. The second good reason is after walking up that hunger, you can satiate your taste buds with some good and pucker German food that is reasonably priced. The beers are cold, their service is hot and regardless of the season, you'll enjoy what their menu has to offer. I've had both their Wiener Schnitzel as well as their Rostbratwürstchen on sauerkraut with purée and enjoyed both immensely.
